Who We Are
In 1981, a group of parents came together with a shared dream and founded Davis Chinese School (戴維斯中文學校).
In 1982, the school became a registered non-profit organization.
We believe learning Mandarin is about more than speaking another language. It helps children develop a sense of cultural identity, build lasting friendships, and discover a community where they truly belong.
For more than 40 years, we have welcomed generations of students to learn Mandarin, celebrate culture, and create memories that stay with them long after childhood.
Our curriculum brings language to life through music, festivals, calligraphy, folk arts, games, food, stories, and hands-on cultural experiences. Children don't simply learn Mandarin—they experience it in meaningful, joyful ways that inspire curiosity and confidence.
Our hope is that every child leaves with more than language skills—with confidence, meaningful friendships, a deeper appreciation of their heritage, and memories that will last a lifetime.
